South West Scientific MPCE Regional Meeting
This meeting is aimed at Clinical Scientists, Clinical Technologists, and Clinical Engineers, but is open to all with an interest in this field.
"New technologies for future - how technology is influencing patient care" is the meeting theme and the following topics will be covered:
• Implementing new technologies and digital systems
• Experiences with using AI in the clinical environment
• New techniques for image optimisation
• Task automation
• Clinical Computing
The primary programme is on Thursday 6th June 2024 which we are pleased to confirm will include invited talks from Helen Meese, The Care Machine, as well as a joint talk from Jon Ensor and Steven Johnson, The University of York, on the topic of 'Equity in Medical Devices'.
Furthermore, for all who will be arriving the day/evening before we are pleased to invite you to attend a relaxed evening of networking, BBQ and dancing on Wednesday 5th June.
For those of you who have not had the opportunity to visit Gloucester City previously we have arranged for local tour guides to do an approx hour-long tour of the City highlighting key attractions and the vast array of different architecture eras.
The city tours will take place on Wednesday 5th June, from 18:15; with the rest of the evening commencing with refreshments from 19:00 in the courtyard of Blackfriars Priory; food will be served from 19:30 and then for those who wish to take part we will have some local dance instructors on hand to lead a swing line dance session.
