Management and handling of radioactive waste in the medical sector continues to be an important and complex task. The RWA Update will focus on ensuring the most up to date regulatory compliance, best practice, and learning from experiences of others dealing with radioactive waste.
The RPA Update Meeting is IPEM’s principal meeting of the year for those working in the field of Radiation Protection in the healthcare sector.
The meeting will include talks from Regulators, relevant bodies and RPAs working in the field, and will have both invited and proffered papers. Talks will cover a variety of topics but will have a focus on Consents with feedback from the HSE and from those with experience of applying for re-consenting. There will also be presentations from UKHSA on their orthopaedic surgeon breast dose project and the MOD have been invited to talk about public health response to radiation incidents.
The meeting is an invaluable one for both those seeking RPA accreditation and those wishing to maintain or expand their CPD.
