As part of the implementation of IPEM’s Science Leadership Strategy, IPEM is reviewing and improving it’s current portfolio of Prizes, Grants and Awards.
To contribute to this vision, we are seeking members who are passionate about shaping the future of IPEM and reinvigorating how we reward excellence within our community, by becoming members of the Prizes and Awards Committee.
This function and purpose of this committee has been refreshed in 2024, and will consist of:
- Assessing applications for a range of IPEM’s prizes and awards
- Reviewing the existing portfolio of IPEM’s prizes and awards with a vision to:
- Align further with the Science Leadership Strategy
- Improve equity, diversity and inclusion
- Improve application processes and assessment criteria
- Develop new and more modern awards
- Contribute to the co-ordination of a membership consultation to gather views on the portfolio of prizes and awards from our members
- Feedback on the quality, quantity and demographics of applicants to inform strategic changes to be made to the portfolio
This is an exciting opportunity to support and influence IPEM’s strategic activity to reward IPEM members in a meaningful and inclusive way.
We anticipate that the Committee will meet approximately once every 1-2 months and the time commitment should not exceed 1 hour per week on average.
