This document seeks to address the current issues and gives updated guidance on the
provision of a physics service to radiotherapy. Although the document provides guidance on
the number of Clinical Scientists, physics and engineering technologists required to provide
a safe radiotherapy service, it should be understood that increased levels of skill-mix can be
applied to individual departments depending on local work practices and circumstances.
