Chartered Engineer (CEng)

How to apply?

All CEng applicants are assessed through a two-stage process. The first stage of the assessment process will review your knowledge and understanding against the requirements for CEng. Successful completion of this stage also entitles applicants to 'interim' registration.

The second stage of the assessment process will review your skills and competence against the Engineering Council's UK-SPEC. You can find out more about each stage and apply below.

Interim CEng registration shows your commitment to the profession and intention to work towards registration, demonstrating that you have the underpinning knowledge and understanding required. Please refer to the guidance notes before submitting your application.

Stage 2: UKSPEC Competence Assessment

Stage 2: UKSPEC Competence Assessment

If you do not already have Interim CEng registration then, as part of the application for Full CEng registration, please complete Stage 1 application form to have your qualifications checked by our assessors. Please refer to the guidance notes before submitting your application.
