We are looking for a new Vice President Northern Ireland to join our Presidents Advisory Committee (PAC). PAC provides a mechanism by which the President can be kept informed on MPCE matters in Northern Ireland, you'll be representing the President in Northern Ireland, gathering information and feeding this back, providing your expertise and advice on external developments and contacts in key areas of interest.
Knowledge and experience of the medical physics and clinical engineering landscape in Northern Ireland is essential, with connections to healthcare, academia or companies providing services or employing individuals linked to physics and engineering in medicine advantageous.
You'll need to be a full member or Fellow and we anticipate approximately 10 days per year time commitment. There are 4 PAC meetings a year, usually held by Teams plus ad-hoc meetings to attend and other activity between meetings. As this is a pre-board position, IPEM rules state you must have 2 supporting references from a Fellow or Full Member of the Institute.
