Marco Borri, King's College Hospital NHS FT
Dr. Marco Borri is an HCPC registered MRI Clinical Scientist and medical physicist with a PhD in MRI, and 20 years of expertise – including 17 years in clinical practice – spent at the forefront of clinical imaging services. He currently works at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as Lead MRI Clinical Scientist. With a strong interest in both advancing and applying MRI safety, he is committed to ensuring that scientific knowledge is translated into practical, real-world solutions within hospital settings. Marco was among the first to achieve national certification through the IPEM MRSE Certificate of Competence. He currently chairs the IPEM MRSE Assessment Panel, helping to shape the criteria and guidance that underpin safe MRI practices.

James Harkin, The Christie NHS FT
Dr. James Harkin is a HCPC registered MRI Clinical Scientist currently working in the NHS across North-West England, for The Christie’s regional MRI Physics service. James's interest in MR began during their undergraduate physics degree, after which they undertook a PhD in MRI, focussing on upright, hyperpolarised, respiratory MRI. Later, James moved to working at University Hospitals Dorset, where they achieved HCPC registration through route 2 and IPEM MR Safety Expert Certification. As well as acting as secretary on the IPEM MRSE Assessment Panel, James is a member of the STEC, IPEM's strategic council, which oversees scientific, academic, innovation and research activities.
