We are excited to announce that our invited speakers include;
David Sproxton
DAVID SPROXTON is the co-founder of Aardman, with co-founder Peter Lord. He has overseen the development of the company from a two-man partnership to one of the pre-eminent animation houses in the industry. Their first professional creation was the character ‘Morph’.
David co-produced many of Aardman’s feature films including “Chicken Run”, “Wallace and Gromit in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit”, “Flushed Away” all made in association with DreamWorks. “Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists “ and “Arthur Christmas”, produced in association with Sony Pictures. “Shaun the Sheep : The Movie”, “Early Man” and “Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon,” produced in association with STUDIOCANAL.
David Sproxton spent 3 years on the Board of the UK Film Council and many years on the boards of the National Film and Television School, Bristol Old Vic, We The Curious and Encounters Film Festival, is now a director of the Bristol Bike Project Cooperative.
In 2018 David oversaw the transition of Aardman into an Employee Owned company, stepping back from the role of MD in 2019. David is now a trustee of the Aardman Employee Ownership Trust
Mark Knight, President of IPEM
Mark Knight is President of the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) and Regional Chief Scientific Officer – South East, where he provides strategic leadership for healthcare science across the region. With more than three decades of experience in hospital medical physics, Mark has built a distinguished career spanning radiation protection, diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine.
A passionate advocate for innovation in healthcare, Mark has played a leading role in advancing the safe and effective use of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, digital health and medical devices. His work focuses on how scientific expertise can drive service transformation, improve patient outcomes and support the delivery of national priorities such as the NHS 10-year plan.
Mark has held a number of influential leadership roles within IPEM, including Vice President for Medical Physics and Director of the Science, Research and Innovation Council, and has contributed widely to national programmes in healthcare science.
Recognised for his ability to connect strategy with real-world clinical impact, Mark brings a compelling and forward-looking perspective on the future of medical physics and clinical engineering. His keynote will explore how innovation, collaboration and scientific leadership will shape the next decade of healthcare.
