Sarah Prescott, University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust
Sarah Prescott is the lead MRI Clinical Scientist at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM), where she has worked for the last 15 years. Sarah is an MR Safety Expert and achieved the IPEM MR Safety Expert Certificate of Competence in 2022. Sarah is a member of the IPEM generic implant safety update (GISP) working party, and has taken a leading role in working towards developing national GISPs. She is also an author on ‘Farr’s Physics for Medical Imaging (3rd Edition)’.
Niamh Kirk, UK Health Security Agency
Niamh is a Senior Clinical Officer in Diagnostic Imaging, working with the Medical Exposures Group at UKHSA. Niamh’s role has a broad remit which includes the provision of advice on the use of ionising radiation in diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology and associated radiation protection, regulatory and clinical practice matters. The advice is to government, professional bodies, healthcare professionals and members of the public.
Niamh has an extensive range of experience as a diagnostic radiographer in both clinical and managerial roles. Prior to this role Niamh has worked in a number of hospitals in Dublin and Belfast. Niamh has experience across the diagnostic imaging modalities, including paediatrics, CT and MRI.
