Giles Morrison

Head of Radiology Physics at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHSFT for over 20 years. RPA and MPE for Diagnostic Radiology.

Have been engaged with IR(ME)R and its application to the use of ionising radiation in research and ethics approval governance since contacting COREC in 2002.

I have been a member of various working parties on research ethics approval processes over the years, including the working party set up by the HRA in 2015 to establish the current model of Lead CRE/MPE central approval process.

I recently contributed to the work of the HRA/CQC/UKHSA/ARSAC in providing the most recent guidance to MPEs in support of the new 150 day research approval process.

I have nearly finished the first draft of my debut novel.
