Welcome to IPEM's new Trustees

The IPEM Board of Trustees held its first meeting on 16 October chaired by IPEM’s newly appointed President, Mark Knight. We are delighted to welcome our new Trustees, whose wide-ranging expertise across Clinical Science, Medical Physics, Clinical Engineering, finance, and patient safety. They will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of IPEM.

  • Paul Wilde: Honorary Treasurer: Joined the Board earlier in 2025.  Paul is Group Treasurer at Shawbrook Bank with extensive experience in treasury leadership, governance, and strategic oversight. Fellow and Past President of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
  • Robin McDade:  Director of IPEM’s Education and Professional Standards Committee (EPSC): Advanced Specialist Clinical Technologist in Nuclear Cardiology at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, awarded the IPEM President’s Medal in 2022, and active in Clinical Technologist training and professional standards.
  • Paul White: Member Trustee: Consultant Clinical Scientist and Head of Clinical Engineering at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with an international research reputation.
  • Liz Adams: Member Trustee: Head of Medical Physics at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust with over 30 years’ experience, focusing on workforce development and service delivery.
  • Dr Sui Man Lee: Member Trustee: Head of Healthcare Engineering and Gastro-Intestinal Physiology at Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust; Chartered Engineer.
  • Fiona Thow: Independent Trustee: Experienced in healthcare transformation and patient safety, former NHS Improvement and NHS England advisor, now leading consultancy projects in healthcare quality improvement.
