Data Gathering for the Development of a Clinical Engineering Workforce Calculator

IPEM are developing a workforce staffing calculator for Clinical Engineering based off of equipment amounts that will give recommended staffing levels for technical and support staff. This is being developed by the Clinical Engineering Staffing Recommendations Task & Finish Group, and the data gathering is being lead by Raymond Lewis (Head of Medical Engineering at Alder Hey). In order to assist with this development, we are asking for Clinical Engineering departments to enter their amounts of equipment per category and the Planned Preventative Maintenance frequency below so that IPEM can benchmark the results from the calculator against other departments, ensuring that nothing vital has been missed, that we are asking for the correct information and that the calculator is giving out accurate information. All data provided will be kept in strict confidence and not shared outside of this Clinical Engineering Staffing Recommendations Task & Finish Group and will only be used towards the development of the staffing calculator.
