Webinar: The Future of DR Physics
Diagnostic radiology physics is seeing rapid change. X-ray machines are becoming more sophisticated, using non-deterministic image processing and machine learning and dose management systems provide vast amounts of information about delivered patient doses.
IPEM's DR SIG are launching a project which aims to identify the current and future needs of radiology physics. Four key areas have been identified: dose audits, quality assurance testing, image quality metrics and engagement outside medical physics. Areas within these topics were identified where current practice does not adequately meet current technological, legislative or clinical needs. There is missing evidence, tools or techniques.
This webinar aims to set out a potential vision for the future of radiology physics in the UK and to engage the community for an integrated programme of work for the future, keeping radiology physics relevant and bringing practices up to date with the technological and clinical reality.
