Webinar: Security Requirements for Radioactive Sources, Update and Shared Learning

Following the publication in 2024 of the updated Security Requirements for Radioactive Sources from the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO), IPEM have identified a need to share learning of good practices on compliance with these guidelines and give colleagues the opportunity to ask questions of the Environment Agency on them. We have arranged a national webinar to take place on 29/01/2026 to do this. Please put the date in your diaries.

Due to the sensitive and confidential nature of the publication and our facilities, we have to be really careful in how we run this webinar. We need to make sure we don’t divulge any key security information of any premises or facilities. The webinar will be approx. 90 minutes with the following content

  • Security Regime - Background & New Standards
  • Update on our threat levels
  • Shared learning

There will be no open Q&A and therefore it is important that you fill out the expression of interest form so answers can be prepared in advance where security allows.

Bookings are now open.
