Mrs Donna Holdcroft
BMUS Professional Officer
Donna is a sonographer with a special interest in Education, sonographer workforce and physics and safety. Donna currently works as the BMUS Professional Officer and also clinically training sonographers at the West Midlands Imaging Academy.
In her previous roles she has worked as an Ultrasound Clinical Applications Specialist, Operational Management and Academia. Her research interests are Education and clinically early pregnancy complications.
Mr Cameron Ingham
Clinical Scientist (MRI and Ultrasound)
Cameron Ingham is an MRI and Ultrasound Clinical Scientist working at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston (UHBW).
He has been a member of the IPEM Ultrasound and Non-Ionising Special Interest Group (UNIRSIG) since 2020,and has been involved in the organisation and running of all iterations of the Ultrasound QA Workshop.
Mr Sam Butler
Clinical Scientist and Lead Ultrasound Physicist
Sam Butler is a Clinical Scientist and Lead Ultrasound Physicist at the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, with additional responsibilities in MRI safety as Deputy MRI Physicist.
Sam has ten years’ experience in ultrasound quality assurance, supporting the delivery and governance of ultrasound QA programmes and related training within clinical services. Nationally, he is Chair of the IPEM Ultrasound and Non-Ionising Radiation Special Interest Group, contributing to work that supports consistent ultrasound QA practice and workforce planning.
Mrs Sarah Matthews
Radiology Physics Team Lead at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust
Sarah is the Lead for Non-Ionising within her Trust and has over 20 years of experience in medical ultrasound from development and implementation of QA frameworks to training of staff. Sarah spent several years on the Non-Ionising Radiation Special Interest Group contributing to national projects including the development of a Scope of Practice for Non-ionising Clinical Technologists and ultrasound workforce planning, as well as organising recent national IPEM non-ionising conferences and meetings.
Sarah is one of the authors of the new ‘Guidance notes for the acquisition & testing of ultrasound scanners for use in the NHSBSP’ and is a founder of the Ultrasound QA Workshop.
