The Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) invites abstract submissions for the upcoming
RPA and RWA Updates in September.
We welcome contributions from both experienced specialists and new professionals.

RWA Update - 9th September 2026
Management and handling of radioactive waste in the medical sector continues to be an important and complex task. The RWA Update will focus on ensuring the most up to date regulatory compliance, best practice, and learning from experiences of others dealing with radioactive waste.
RPA Update - 10th September 2026
The RPA Update Meeting is IPEM’s principal meeting of the year for those working in the field of Radiation Protection in the healthcare sector.
The meeting will include talks from Regulators, relevant bodies and RPAs working in the field, and will have both invited and proffered papers. It is an invaluable one for both those seeking RPA accreditation and those wishing to maintain or expand their CPD.
