IPEM RWA and RPA Updates 2026

These annual Radioactive Waste Advisor and Radiation Protection Advisor updates will again be held on consecutive days in September, with the RWA update on the 9th September 2025 and the RPA update on the 10th September 2025. There will be an evening social on the 9th September.

Save the date! We have not yet finalised the location, but we have set the dates and are booking a venue and beginning to build the programme. Log an expression of interest and we will notify you when we are open for abstracts and bookings. 

RWA Update - 9th September 2025

Management and handling of radioactive waste in the medical sector continues to be an important and complex task. The RWA Update will focus on ensuring the most up to date regulatory compliance, best practice, and learning from experiences of others dealing with radioactive waste.

RPA Update - 10th September 2025

The RPA Update Meeting is IPEM’s principal meeting of the year for those working in the field of Radiation Protection in the healthcare sector.

The meeting will include talks from Regulators, relevant bodies and RPAs working in the field, and will have both invited and proffered papers. It is an invaluable one for both those seeking RPA accreditation and those wishing to maintain or expand their CPD.
