Clinical Scientist Training Workshop Day January 2026

This training day is aimed at Clinical Scientist trainees who are preparing to submit a portfolio to the Association of Clinical Scientist’s Route 2 or the Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS) Scientist Training Programme (STP) Equivalence.

 

*If you are enrolled on IPEM’s Clinical Scientist Guided Training Scheme, please do not book onto this workshop. You will automatically be invited to a workshop day in line with your cohort enrolment*

The Clinical Scientist Training Workshop Day is an in-person training day which is organised as part of IPEM’s Clinical Scientist Guided Training Scheme (CSGTS). Individuals who are not currently on IPEM’s CSGTS but are preparing to submit a portfolio to the Association of Clinical Scientist’s (ACS) through Route 2 or the Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS) Scientist Training Programme (STP) Equivalence are invited to book on and attend.

The aim of the day is to support ACS Route 2 and AHCS STP Equivalence trainees with preparing to put together and submit a portfolio of evidence.

Included within the day, there will be:

  • Opportunities to network
  • Case Presenter Sessions
  • Scientific Report Writing workshop
  • Putting together your portfolio
  • Examination by Viva Voce
  • Registration Requirements and Career Progression

Case Presenter Sessions

Each attendee will be required to produce a poster style presentation and deliver a short 3-5 minute talk as part of the day. This will be based on a case study which you are currently working on or intending to submit as part of your portfolio of evidence. Further information and guidance on this requirement will be provided following booking.
