Oesophagus Masterclass
Oesophagus cancer covers two of the less survivable cancers in the UK and is an area of unmet need for research and a priority to improve patient outcomes. This multi-disciplinary masterclass will be based on complex case scenarios and then opened to experts in the field to discuss options including new trials and state of the art treatments in the UK.
This multi-disciplinary courses, for clinical oncology consultants and trainees, radiographers and physicists, aims to provide an overview of:
- The current state of the art precision radiotherapy options for oesophageal cancers including re-irradiation
- The role of radiotherapy in oesophageal cancers
- Upcoming trials and options for future radiotherapy research
In the afternoon there will be an outlining workshop with two cases examining the oesophagus and the stomach and the course will be led by Dr Ganesh Radhakrishna, Clinical Oncology Consultant at The Christie Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
