We're excited to announce that IPEM will become the new home of the National Bone Densitometry training, previously offered by the Royal Osteoporosis Society.
This training is essential for healthcare professionals who carry out bone densitometry or work in related clinical research. The aim of the training is to enable you to:
- Understand the use of dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) in identifying osteoporosis
- Undertake and evaluate quality DXA measurements effectively
- Ensure reliable scan data are recorded to inform a diagnosis and decisions around treatment
