L2 are an HSE-recognised Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA) Body with a number of clients working within the Healthcare Sector including those that provide Diagnostic Imaging services, those entering other organisation’s X-Ray Suites (Radiation Controlled Areas (RCAs)) in a technical support capacity (e.g. technical support to clinical staff and Service Engineers) as Outside Workers, those involved in the production and use of radiotherapy and radiopharmaceuticals. - Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA), L2 is an HSE-recognised RPA Body
- Radiological Requirements Reports with shielding calculations and other required Installed Control Measures for new or refurbished facilities
- Critical Examination of X-Ray Suites and Radiotherapy/Radiopharmaceutical treatment rooms and manufacturing facilities
- Guidance on designation of areas, including handover of Radiation Controlled Areas/Radiation Generating Equipment
- Development of Radiation Risk Assessments, Local Rules, and Contingency Plans
- Support with Radiation Monitoring and Dosimetry Selection, including instrument selection, calibration, and testing
- HSE/HSENI Consent and Registration Applications including preparation of Safety Assessments to support HSE/HSENI Consent Certificate applications
- Assistance with Radioactive Substances (RSA) Environmental Permit applications for use and storage radioactive substances (sealed and unsealed) including compliance, storage, and security arrangements. We can be appointed as your Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA) and provide advice on waste management and disposal including demonstration of Best Available Techniques
- Providing Training including Radiation Awareness and Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) Training
- Radiation Accident and Dose Investigation Support including independent investigation and advice
- Expert advice on radioactive materials transport, including appointment as Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA).
