Member Advisory and Prioritisation Council (MAPC)

The Member Advisory and Prioritisation Council (MAPC) has a forward-looking perspective, identifying IPEM’s future strategic priorities to meet the needs of the MPCE community.

MAPC is the overarching council providing longer term direction to the work of the wider volunteering structure ensuring maximum impact and efficiency of IPEM’s work. The council was created for one core purpose - to ensure that IPEM’s work is led by the ideas, expertise, and needs of our members. It brings together volunteers from across our community and wider profession, providing a single, transparent way to shape what we do and how we do it.

• Set member-led priorities so that IPEM's work reflects what matters most to Medical Physicists, Clinical Engineers and Clinical Technologists.
• Improve transparency by communicating decisions and progress more openly and more regularly.
• Strengthen the link between volunteers and decision making, recognising the essential contribution of our Committees, Special Interest Groups and Task and Finish Groups.
• Reduce duplication and focus resources on work that delivers real value for the profession.
• Show clear impact, so every member can see how their ideas shape IPEM’s strategy and actions
