Applications opening 1st December 2026!

We're excited to announce that IPEM will become the new home of the National Bone Densitometry training, previously offered by the Royal Osteoporosis Society.

This training is essential for healthcare professionals who carry out bone densitometry or work in related clinical research. The aim of the training is to enable you to:

1. Explain the physical and statistical principles underpinning DXA, and its role in osteoporosis identification, fracture risk assessment, and patient management.
2. Apply techniques and quality assurance measures to produce reliable and reproducible DXA scans.
3. Evaluate DXA scans and measurements to determine their quality, reliability, and suitability for clinical reporting.

There is more information on the pages below, and we will continue to update with information as we prepare to open for applications. If you'd like to be the first to hear updates, and receive an email reminder when applications open, please sign up below.
