Winners of IPEM’s international journal prizes for 2022 announced

THE winning authors of two papers published in IPEM’s international journals have been announced.

A paper on a time-dependent computational framework, hematological dose, to estimate dose to circulating blood cells from radiation therapy treatment fields for any treatment site, has won the Roberts Best Paper Prize, which is awarded for the best paper published in Physics in Medicine and Biology.

The paper was entitled ‘HEDOS — a computational tool to assess radiation dose to circulating blood cells during external beam radiotherapy based on whole-body blood flow simulations’. You can read the award-winning paper here.

The winner of the Martin Black Prize, for the best paper published in Physiological Measurement, was entitled ‘Driver sleepiness detection with deep neural networks using electrophysiological data’. You can read the award-winning paper here.

IPEM has four international journals, PM and PMB, which are published by the Institute of Physics Publishing, and Medical Engineering & Physics and IPEM-Translation, published by Elsevier.
