Task and Finish Group Proposals

To foster stronger links between volunteer groups and the Science, Technology and Engineering Committee (STEC), and to improve the process for approving new Task and Finish (T&F) groups, we have introduced a new proposal process.

Instead of completing a proposal form and emailing it to the National Office, you will now present your proposal directly to members of STEC during a dedicated online approval meeting.

Meetings will consist of:

• A 5-minute presentation outlining your proposal
• A brief Q&A session with STEC members
• Formal notification of STEC's decision by email after the meeting

A presentation template is available on this page. The template is intended to act as a guideline, and to inform volunteer groups of all the information that STEC is likely to need.

Meetings are to be held monthly, typically on Fridays from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m., on Microsoft Teams. A link to the sign-up sheets for available slots can be found below. Please send your completed slides to IPEM's Policy and Professional Manager (nina@ipem.ac.uk) no later than one week before your time slot. We ask that at least one representative from your proposed T&F group attend the meeting.

Although completion of the T&F Group Proposal Form is no longer required, it is included below as it contains valuable guidance for group creation.
