A Manifesto for Clinical Engineering in the Age of AI, Prediction and Prevention
Clinical Engineering will play a pivotal role in delivering the future's technology-enabled health safely, effectively and equitably. On 13th October 2026, we launched our Clinical Engineering Manifesto. The Manifesto highlights the need for Clinical Engineering to be recognised as a strategic driver of healthcare transformation. Through scientific leadership in technology adoption, research, innovation, data and system design, Clinical Engineering can advance health and wellbeing, support more sustainable healthcare delivery, and ensure that emerging technologies deliver tangible benefits for patients, communities and society. The Manifesto outlines our vision and call to action to harness this potential.
