Webinar: Quality Assurance throughout the MRI Lifecycle

This webinar will act as a collective brainstorming session for the MR physics community in the UK to capture the needs of the community with a view to plotting a strategic path as to how to address key issues.

Organised by IPEM’s MR SIG, in partnership with NPL

Due to a lack of consensus on clear guidance on quality assurance for MRI systems, the community is faced with the following challenges:

• A significant degree of variation in QA practices across the UK
• A high degree of duplication of work
• Developing adequate QA for developing quantitative biomarker measurements

With a gap in international standards for qMRI, there is a clear need to develop and implement the metrology and calibration capability required ensure confidence in the measurement of physiological properties. This webinar aims to provide a forum for members of the MR physics community to discuss these challenges and suggest methods of resolving the key issues outlined above.

The webinar will be held online via Zoom and is open to both IPEM members and non-members. Attendance is free of charge, although booking in advance is essential.
