Webinar: Advanced Acceleration Technology in MRI 1
The first in a series of four webinars, which will explore the use of new advanced acceleration technology and provide guidance on implementation and up to date information for end-users.
Organised by IPEM's MR Working Group
The MR Working Group invites you to join us for the first in a series of webinars, to find out more about the changes Accelerated Acquisition Technologies are making to MRI departments across the UK.
This webinar introduces the techniques including simultaneous multislice acquisition, compressed sensing and AI, with new practical resources aimed to address the opportunity and limitations of these accelerated imaging methods.
This series is intended to provide something for everyone, from radiographers and radiologists to physicists and researchers. We will cover case studies of how MR sequences, protocols and departments are changing in response to new technology and provide an up-to-date introduction and overview of available AATs. Separate sessions will provide guidance on the implementation and optimization of these AATs. The aim of these sessions is to provide up-to-date information for end-users and explain the capabilities and limitation of each technology as it currently exists.
Speaker
Speaking at this webinar is Steven Jackson, The Chrsitie NHS Foundation Trust.
Steve is a Principal Clinical Scientist in MRI from Christie Medical Physics and Engineering. He is supporting the Advanced Acceleration Technology implementation in the North West of England region, where the roll-out of the new technology started in March 2022, and is co-chair of the IPEM Advanced Acceleration Technology Task and Finish group.
Attendance is open to both IPEM Members and Non-Members and is free of charge, but booking in advance is essential.
