Radiotherapy plan robustness in clinical practice

To follow on from the recent ‘How low can you go?’ margins meeting, and to lead in to a wider discussion of adaptive therapy, AI and other advanced techniques at the Spring 2023 STEF, the RT Special Interest Group would like to invite you to attend a meeting where work on radiotherapy plan robustness, clinical workflows and adaptive planning are discussed. Registration Deadline: 1st June

Organised by IPEM's Radiotherapy Special Interest Group

Recent technical developments have provided many options to account for inter-fraction and intra-fraction changes in anatomy throughout the radiotherapy process. While online adaptive techniques are currently at the technical vanguard of radiotherapy delivery; alternative solutions to ensure treatment matches the planning intent are often overlooked.

To follow on from the recent ‘How low can you go?’ margins meeting, and to lead in to a wider discussion of adaptive therapy, AI and other advanced techniques at the Autumn STEF, the RT Special Interest Group would like to invite you to attend a meeting where work on radiotherapy plan robustness, clinical workflows and adaptive planning are discussed. We intend to cover a range of topics, not limited to:

- The use of planning system tools to account for robustness at the time of pre-treatment e.g. demonstrating robustness of lung and thoracic plans via shifting and recalculating, methods of robust inverse optimisation

- Treatment planning replan workflows to account for patient shape change and motion. How is daily IGRT information being utilised to inform replan decision making?

-  Demonstration of how automated methods, such as AI contouring and online adaptive planning, can improve the clinical workflow.

Abstract submissions are now closed.
