Environmental Sustainability in Nuclear Medicine Roundtable

This interactive webinar will explore methods to measure and reduce the carbon footprint and environmental impact of nuclear medicine. Actions that can be taken in local departments will be discussed and shared.

Climate change is already causing extreme weather and suffering around the globe.  Health, healthcare and climate change are innately linked as our environment directly affects health and our healthcare systems have an impact on our environment and climate.

This interactive webinar will explore methods to measure and reduce the carbon footprint and environmental impact of nuclear medicine.  Actions that can be taken in local departments will be discussed and shared.

Attendees will be encouraged to share any local actions they have taken, ask questions of the panel and make suggestions for changes they would like to see.

Educational aims:

- Develop knowledge of actions to make nuclear medicine more environmentally sustainable

- Increase understanding of how to implement change locally in your department to make nuclear medicine more environmentally sustainable
