Automation in Radiotherapy Treatment Planning
This in-person event aims to cover topics such as scripting, machine learning and AI, and software governance in relation to the ever growing need for automation in radiotherapy treatment planning.

Following on from the Adaption and Robustness meeting in June 2022, we are pleased to present a one-day meeting on automation and scripting in treatment planning. The meeting will cover topics including: automatic treatment plan production and evaluation, machine learning & AI, protocol design, software engineering, quality assurance, and upgrading treatment planning software and techniques.
As the number of patients presenting for radiotherapy treatment increases, automation in treatment planning is progressively becoming a topic of interest to many departments. Planning needs for each patient are also growing with techniques like plan of the day for bladder and with the rise of the MR linac. Radiotherapy departments are looking to automation to aid in the production of high quality plans, to contour structures and to improve workflows throughout the pre-treatment process. This meeting aims to meet the needs of scientists, technologists and doctors involved in designing automated planning workflows.
Patient experience is at the heart of everything done by our members: demonstrating patient benefit both clinically and experientially is an aim of this meeting.
