Engineering Course Accreditation Assessor

We're looking for Engineering Course Accreditation Panel (ECAP) Assessors who will play a vital role in supporting to achieve IPEM’s strategy in Professional Development. We particularly encourage applications from different workplaces such as industry, academia of within healthcare settings as applicants from diverse backgrounds make fantastic assessors with their wide ranging experiences to share.

 

No prior experience as an Assessor is required for this role as training and support will be provided. All we ask of you is that you are willing to learn about the educational requirements for CEng and IEng and embrace IPEM’s values. Any Fellows or full members of IPEM registered at either CEng or IEng level are welcome to apply

 

You won’t need to attend ECAP meetings, just one accreditation visit per annum will be required which takes around 5 days. You’ll be carrying out the assessment visits at universities to assess courses in the biomedical and clinical engineering field. This could be reviewing student output, such as examinations and coursework or touring laboratories/facilities. We'll cover your expenses too.
