Medical Physics Experts (MPEs) – Information

New Applications under IR(ME)R 2017

All new applications should go to RPA2000.

Transfers from IR(ME)R 2000 to IR(ME)R 2017/IR(ME)R 2018 NI

Applications to transfer from IR(ME)R 2000 to IR(ME)R 2017/IR(ME)R 2018 NI will open on Monday 24th August 2020 and will remain open until Tuesday 31st August 2021.

The process has been devised by the relevant professional bodies (IPEM, SRP and AURPO) in conjunction with RPA2000 and the competent authorities across the UK.

Below are the forms and guidance required:

1. Application to transfer from IR(ME)R (2000) to IR(ME)R (2017) and IR(ME)R (2018) NI list of Medical Physics Experts (MPE) Certificate Holders.

2.Guidance for the transition to the list of Medical Physics Experts (MPE) Certificate Holders under IR(ME)R (2017) and IR(ME)R (2018) NI.

3. Structured CV Template for the transfer from IR(ME)R (2000) to IR(ME)R (2017) list of Medical Physics Experts (MPE) Certificate Holders.

4. Guidance for completion of the structured CV template for individuals applying to transition to the list of Medical Physics Experts (MPE) Certificate Holders under IR(ME)R (2017) and IR(ME)R (2018) NI.

MPEs and Aspiring MPEs Community of Interest

We are hosting a closed Community of Interest (COI) which is a secure forum to share documents and have professional discussions.  The professional requirement to join this COI is to be included on the MPE Register  (hosted on the RPA2000 website).  We will check every application against that list.

“Aspiring” MPEs working on their portfolio need to provide a confirmation email from their sponsor to confirm this.  The sponsor must be on the MPE Register.

How to connect to the community:  If you are an IPEM member please contact adam@ipem.ac.uk to be added to the list.  If you are not an IPEM member then please sign up on the Community of Interest site (top right hand corner).
