Opportunities to volunteer with the Science Council

The Science Council is a membership organisation for professional bodies and learned societies across the disciplines of science. It promotes the advancement and dissemination of knowledge of and education in science, pure and applied, for the public benefit.

It is a Royal Chartered, registered charity that sets the standards for professional registration for scientists and science technicians.

The Science Council is looking for three new trustees to join the Board.  Nominations from individuals with knowledge/expertise in diversity and equality and in financial management and accounting are especially welcome.

The online form can be found here. On this page you will also find links to the trustee recruitment pack and trustee role description.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 18th June 2018.    If you would like to know more about trustee opportunities, please contact Oliver O’Hanlon (O.OHanlon@sciencecouncil.org).

Co-opted trustees

The organisation is also looking for two co-opted trustees. The Board would welcome expressions of interest from individuals to support it in developing a revised strategy for the charity.

If you would like to know more about co-option opportunities, please contact Dr Helen Pain (PainH@rsc.org) by Friday 8th June 2018.
