Opportunities with the International Organization for Medical Physics

A NUMBER of opportunities are available for IPEM members to apply for with the International Organization for Medical Physics (IOMP).

The IOMP Council will elect a number of officers to take up a variety of posts at the end of the General Assembly, which will be held during the World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering in Prague in June.

Positions that are open for nominations include the Vice President, the Treasurer, the Chair of the Education and Training Committee, and the Chair of the Publications Committee. The terms of office for each post are for three years.

All nominees need to be known internationally for distinction in their field and for their organising ability.

In order to be considered for any of the positions which are open for election, potential nominees should send their application in the first instance to Hugh Wilkins, IPEM’s Vice President International, by Wednesday 6 December via email to ukhugh@aol.com. Suitable nominations will then be submitted by IPEM to meet the IOMP deadline of 12 December.
