We will shortly be re-opening abstract submission for specific topics as listed below.  If you submitted an abstract by the 31st March we will be contacting you shortly with a decision,

Authors of accepted abstracts will have the option of submitting full papers for a special 40th anniversary edition of the journal ‘Medical Engineering and Physics’ published after the conference by Elsevier. For more information click here.

Contributions are invited from students and trainees as well as established academic and clinical staff. Papers will be allocated to oral, or poster sessions according to where they best fit within the program. 

Full details on the format required for abstracts and the abstract submission form can be found on the submission site. Abstracts must be submitted on the website. The accepted abstracts for this conference will be published (with ISSN number), which all delegates will receive.

All authors who submitted an abstract by the 31st March deadline will be notified as soon as the provisional programme is available. 

Abstract Format and Review Criteria

All abstracts submitted will be peer-reviewed prior to acceptance. The Review Criteria will be:

·         A clear statement of the problem and its significance to physics and engineering in medicine and biology

·         The originality and contribution of the work

·         The methodological quality

·         The outcome and its relevance.

Abstract Format:

It is important that you adhere to the exact format specified in the abstract submission guidelines on the website in order to qualify for entry into the abstract publication. 

Please note that all proffered presenters are required to register and pay the appropriate registration fee in order to present. Reduced registration rates are available to IPEM members and to staff of the Medical Engineering Centres of Excellence for 2017.
