Location and Travel

This conference will take place at York Racecourse, York, YO23 1EX.
The conference will take place in the Voltigeur Suite. On arrival at the venue, please follow onsite signage.

The racecourse is approximately 30 mins walk or a short taxi ride from York train station, and there is plenty of free parking on the racecourse site.

Getting to York by train is easy. From London the journey time is under two hours; Edinburgh is only two and a half hours from York and there are direct services from Birmingham and the South West, plus TransPennine Express have direct train services to York from Liverpool, Manchester and Newcastle. York is easy to get to from Leeds Bradford International Airport. All you have to do is take the 757 bus from Leeds-Bradford airport and go to Leeds train station where you can find frequent trains to York (train journey time approx 25 mins).
From Manchester International Airport, frequent Transpennine trains provide the city with a direct round the clock link (train journey time approx 1hr 40mins).

York buses
Bus No 4 runs approximately every 10 minutes from York train station. Get off at the ‘Mount Vale’ stop and walk along Knavesmire Road to the Racecourse. The Mount Vale stop is also served by buses 12, 13 and 40.
Park & Ride at Askham Bar - for timetable and stops information click here. The first stop is on Blossom Street, past the racecourse and up towards the train station, so alight at Blossom Street and walk back down to the racecourse, approx. 15-20 minute walk.
