Organised by IPEM's Radiotherapy Special Interest Group
Under the current
tariff system, payment for SABR - recognised as standard of care for many
indications - is limited to a comparatively small number of centres commissioned
by NHS England. Among others, the Royal College of Radiologists has pointed out
that SABR could be delivered by all radiotherapy centres in the UK, with
training, mentorship and appropriate local multidisciplinary team input.
In anticipation of the tariff system changing, and that many radiotherapy
providers will be considering offering SABR routinely, this meeting is intended
to share best practice for starting and maintaining a stereotactic radiotherapy
service, including stereotactic radiosurgery. It is intended that invited
speakers will give a clinical perspective, and also address the issues around
changing the tariff system.
Abstracts are invited from well-established or developing SABR providers who
can offer perspectives on all aspects of delivery, perhaps including:
