    Outreach Volunteers

Joining IPEM's Outreach volunteer group allows you to inspire a new generation of young people as well as gaining valuable communications skills and CPD experience.

You can really make a difference: many young people have never met a "real scientist" and are amazed by the work that you do.  Meeting real people who use science in such a positive and helpful way as members do is often a real eye-opener and can encourage young people to keep doing science subjects at school.

We support our member volunteers by paying their local travel expenses and sending free interactive equipment and support material to them.  They are also covered by our public liability insurance when doing outreach on our behalf.

If you would like to sign up please email Eva McClean on and you will receive regular newsletter and opportunities to get involved. There is no obligation and you can come off the list at any time.
