The Big Bang fair is the largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths for young people in the UK. It aims to show young people (primarily aged 7-19) just how many exciting and rewarding opportunities there are out there for them if they have the right experience and qualifications. Find out more about Big Bang from their website.
Attendance for schools is always free, so it is an excellent opportunity to experience science with lots of hands on activities and live shows.
IPEM has a regular presence at the main Big Bang Fair, jointly with the NHS stand. We will show interactive displays that give visitors hands-on experience of how physis and engineering are used in healthcare. The Big Bang Fair is held in March each year and there are smaller Regional events between May and July. Again, these are free to visit for schools.
If you would like to volunteer to take part on the IPEM stand, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
