Elaine Gears / 17 February 2021 / Categories: Jobs MEDICAL PHYSICIST / SENIOR MEDICAL PHYSICIST Cancer Centre London Applications are invited for a Medical Physicist / Senior Physicist post in the Physics department at Cancer Centre London (CCL), a purpose built centre in Wimbledon, South West London, which includes Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine departments. CCL has a comprehensive range of facilities, which currently include a multimodality linear accelerator with CBCT and FFF, a superficial X-ray unit, a CT unit for virtual stimulation and a MOSAIQ network, with Prosoma, Focal, XiO and Monaco systems for treatment planning. Gate CT and AlighRT systems are also in operation. VMAT treatment is undertaken routinely and SABR, SRS, IGRT / Adaptive radiotherapy and tattooless treatment are also undertaken. 1.5T and 3.0T MRI units (at nearby Parkside Hospital) are used in radiotherapy treatment planning. There is also a gamma camera at CCL and Nuclear Medicine treatment is undertaken using I-131, Ra-223 and Lu-177. Applications are invited from physicists to join a team of dedicated physicists in the Department of Physics. Ideally you should be HCPC registered but candidates nearing HCPC registration will also be considered, as will candidates seeking a part time appointment or job share.
