RESEARCH ASSOCIATE/SENIOR RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN ENGINEERING BETTER CARE

Salary Ranges:

  • Research Associate: £32,236 - £39,609; 
  • Senior Research Associate: £40,792 - £51,630  

A position exists for a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate in the Department of Engineering, to help establish a Centre for Engineering Better Care.

The post holder will be located in Cambridge Engineering Department and Clifford Allbutt Building, Cambridge.

The key responsibilities and duties are networking, project and training support and centre management.

The requirements for the role include: a PhD in a related area, e.g. general, biomedical or clinical engineering, or physics, or an equivalent level of industrial/research experience; relevant technical engineering knowledge; experience of interdisciplinary working; ability to develop and manage technical projects; healthcare publications; experience of laboratory management and strategy development; ability to liaise and communicate effectively; adaptable; networking and teamwork skills. Desirable attributes: understanding the healthcare system and how engineering innovations and quality improvement can be implemented; appreciation of the design process applied to healthcare; experience in teaching and training.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 30 September 2021 in the first instance.
