MEDICAL PHYSICIST (NEURO-ONCOLOGY)

The company wishes to appoint a Medical Physicist who will support the clinical development of PET radiopharmaceuticals in Neuro-Oncology. 

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Imaging & Physics, the Medical Physicist will have the following responsibilities:

  • Support the analysis & interpretation of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) imaging data.
  • Support the development of the company’s neuro-oncology strategy.
  • Assist clinical operations in the setup, execution and close-out of clinical studies, including the provision of technical expertise for the development of study documents (e.g. imaging component of the Clinical Protocol, Imaging Manual, Independent Review Charter etc.).
  • Contribute to New Drug application (NDA) / Market Authorisation Application (MAA) documentation with respect to imaging specific sections
  • Oversight of contract vendors to support trials of imaging agents.
  • Support the management of external scientific / clinical collaborations with investigative sites.
  • Support the identification & assessment of new opportunities – new imaging agents or indications.
  • Assessment of information to identify and enable pursuit of IP claims for imaging.
  • Coordinate closely with other functions including Clinical Science, Biostatistics, CMC and Regulatory Affairs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate degree in clinical science; post graduate degree (MSc/PhD) in medical physics.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a hospital imaging department, imaging CRO or in industry, with expertise in PET or MRI. The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise in both modalities.
  • Clinical research involving imaging agents for PET and/or MRI imaging.
  • Management of contract vendors to support clinical trials of imaging agents.
  • Oncology, in particular Neuro-oncology, experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communications skills.
  • Able to organise, prioritise and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
  • You must be legally authorised to be employed in the European Union.
