CLINICAL VACANCIES IN REHABILITATION ENGINEERING, POSTURE & MOBILITY

Oxford Centre for Enablement

Due to staff retirements and maternity leave we are excited to offer several vacancies within our posture and mobility services at the Oxford Centre for Enablement (OCE).

The Specialist Disability Service (SDS) is a specialist service for the management of people with complex disabilities. We work with the person adopting a problem solving approach to meet their needs. Our aim is to maximise their quality of life and independence by providing comprehensive assessment, advice, information and recommendations for equipment solutions. Our areas of expertise include specialist seating, 24-hour postural management and electronic assistive technology.

The Oxfordshire Wheelchair Service (OWS) serves individuals in Oxfordshire who are registered with an Oxfordshire GP. The service covers adults and children who have permanent mobility impairments, many with associated complex postural management requirements. Equipment provided ranges from standard wheelchairs and buggies to complex solutions for adults and children, including in-house manufacture of bespoke seating solutions.

The Rehabilitation Engineering Department (RED) works in conjunction with both SDS and OWS in producing custom made equipment for people with disabilities.
