We are looking for someone to join a small team providing specialist advice with regards to the safe use of medical x-ray equipment, in support of UK Defence operations and operational capability?

Our Chemical, Biological and Radiological Division (CBR) of Dstl provides an integrated Chemistry, Biology, Radiation and Medical Sciences capability, delivering long term research, short term advice and consultancy, and an emergency response capability in support of UK Defence and Security.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Been working towards or holds a degree in medical physics. A good working knowledge of relevant legislation would also be desirable.
  • Good communications skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • The confidence to make reliable and consistent judgements with minimal guidance and will take a proactive approach to customer relationships, facility operations, standards, continuous improvement and management of work within a team context.

You will be working as part of a team delivering medical physics advice and support to both MOD and OGD customers.

It’s essential you have a BSc in a Physical Science, however a BSc/MSc in Medical Physics is preferable.

This is a Reserved position so only open to UK Nationals. Dual Nationals cannot be considered for this role.

This position will require a full UK Security Check.
