Global Clinical Engineering Day

Global CE Day is a worldwide celebration recognising the important contributions of clinical engineers to healthcare and is celebrated on the 21st of October each year.

In 2020 the theme is COVID-19
The clinical engineering workforce is absolutely essential to deliver safe and high-quality modern healthcare. These professionals play a vital role in providing governance, clinical training, procuring and managing life-saving equipment like ventilators for example.

Get involved by using social media to talk about you and your colleagues. The hastag is #GlobalCEDay  and the website with more information is: http://global.icehtmc.com/ (under constructions, please check back)

IPEM is promoting this day  by supporting the production of a video showcasing the involvement of clinical engineers in different areas.  We are also writing a letter to all Chief Executives in hospital trusts which have a clinical engineering department urging them to visit their department and show their support.

IPEM engineering and career resources

We have a number of leaflets, posters and career films which you can use on open days, careers visits and science fairs.  These are free to order or download.
