Associate Membership

As an Associate Member, you become a valued member of a network of over 4,500 medical physicists, biomedical engineers and clinical technologists working in hospitals, academia and industry.  Associate Membership is for those training in or employed in physical science applied to medicine or biological engineering or a related biological or medical science.


An IPEM Associate Member will:

 

  • be able to apply for our prizes, bursaries and innovation funding;
  • benefit from discounts on books, journals and conference attendance;
  • receive printed copies of Scope, IPEM’s quarterly magazine;
  • receive an electronic  fortnightly jobs bulletin and the monthly electronic newsletter;
  • be able to join the IPEM free CPD scheme;
  • be able to vote at IPEM general meetings and ballots;
  • be able to apply for one or more professional registrations from the Engineering Council (EngTech/IEng) and the Science Council (RSci/RSciTech).

If you would like to apply for IPEM Associate Membership please complete and sign the IPEM Associate Membership application form here.  As part of the application process your verifier (as identified by you in your application form) will be contacted to confirm your eligibility for Associate Membership.  Your verifier should be your line manager, course tutor or supervisor. Your completed application form can be returned via email to membership@ipem.ac.uk

 

Our annual membership fees can be found here.  Please note that Associate Membership is FREE for full time post-graduate students and apprentices.
