Part of our charitable objective is to promote the benefits of medical physics and engineering to the wider public. We do this this through a number of ways including public engagement activities like public lectures and posters and social media work for special external events such as the "International Day of Medical Physics" and the "Year of Engineering - Healthcare Engineering".
From time to time we also run a more specific campaigns to emphasise certain aspects of our members' work. For example our "Science for Patient Benefit" campaign highlighted just how important the work of medical physics and engineering is to modern healthcare. For more information on this campaign click here.
Our current campaign is a little bit different but nevertheless focuses on one area of our members' work - radiotherapy treatment for children. The "Little Linac" project is very special to us.
