A professional is someone who has acquired a body of knowledge and competences through specialised education and training (Initial Professional Development). Professionals are required to maintain and update relevant knowledge and competences through Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
IPEM's CPD activities are relevant to the different work areas in which its members are engaged, including healthcare service delivery, academic and research settings, and healthcare industries.
In addition to organising specific training events and scientific meetings, IPEM's Prizes and Awards Committee may give support to individuals for specific personal development activities, and recognises excellence of achievement through the award of Institute prizes.
