£25,528 - £34,189 per annum

37.5 hours per week        Temporary for 4 years

Applications are invited from candidates with a First or Second Class Honours Degree in Physical, Computing or Engineering Sciences for entry to the training scheme for Medical Physicists and Bioengineers. Trainees will have a contract of employment for 4 years subject to satisfactory performance, starting on Monday 17 September 2012, with one of the Scottish Medical Physics and Bioengineering Departments.

The appointment will be as Clinical Scientist Graduate Trainee. Trainees will register on the IPEM Training Scheme and, as part of the scheme, study for an MSc degree at Aberdeen, Glasgow or Strathclyde University, as appropriate.

Following successful completion of the initial training, taking 2 years, they will work in a specific area of medical physics/bioengineering for a further 2 years to obtain registration with the Health Professions Council.
